Lynn Fainchtein –

Mexican music supervisor and producer, passionate about rock, jazz and afro-antillean sounds. Lynn graduated from Universidad Autónoma de México and started her musical journey as a radio host in Mexico City. From there, she took her talents to television, film, journalism and recording.

In film, some of Lynn’s most acclaimed works are the supervision of Academy Award nominated and Mexican cult classic ‘Amores Perros,’ and Academy Award winners ‘Birdman’ and ‘The Revenant,’ all these in collaboration with Mexican director Alejandro González Iñarritu. Most recently, she was the music supervisor for Alfonso Cuarón’s  critically acclaimed film ‘Roma.’ Lynn has spoken about the meticulous research process she undertook for this film, dividing every part of the filmset into a different section, each with a different musical theme; she created a world of music for Cuarón’s universe. Lynn worked for years on this research process to create the most historically accurate work possible. For anybody growing up in Mexico in the 70’s, or raised by parents who grew up in the 70’s, listening to the Roma soundtrack is a beautiful and effective method of time-travelling.

Regarding television, she has supervised Mexico’s most popular Netflix shows ‘La Casa de Las Flores,’ Mexican super star’s bio-series ‘Luis-Miguel: La Serie’ and ‘Club de Cuervos.’ Her works always carefully crafted and deeply invested in Mexican sub-cultures. Lynn was also a music supervisor for Spanish hit Netflix series ‘Elite.’ In collaboration with the creators and directors of the show, Lynn created a soundtrack than enhanced the colorful range of emotions every character on Elite so powerfully portrays – and, honestly, it’s just full of amazing bangers.
